Yama told him the fire which is the beginning of worlds, what bricks are required, how many, and how placed. Naciketâ repeated all this as told, and then Mṛtyu (Death), being pleased, said again:

Yama told him about the primordial fire: how many bricks, what kind, and how they are arranged. Nachiketa repeated it all exactly as taught. Death was pleased and spoke again.
