Not he who has not ceased from bad conduct, not he who is not tranquil, not he who is not composed, not he who is not at peace of mind — can obtain the Self by knowledge.
One who has not turned away from evil conduct, who is not tranquil, who is not composed and settled in mind — such a person cannot reach the Self through knowledge.
