इन्द्रियाणि हयानाहुर्विषयाँस्तेषु गोचरान् । आत्मेन्द्रियमनोयुक्तं भोक्तेत्याहुर्मनीषिणः ॥ ४ ॥

indriyāṇi hayān āhur viṣayāṃs teṣu gocarān | ātmendriyamanoyuktaṃ bhoktety āhur manīṣiṇaḥ || 4 ||

English Translation

The senses are called the horses, the objects of the senses their road; when the Self is in conjunction with the body, the senses, and the mind, then wise people call him the Enjoyer.
