अनुरक्ताः devoted, मानवाः men, वनवासाय to dwell in the forest, प्रयान्तम् setting out, महात्मानम् great, सत्यपराक्रमम् to one whose truth is his power, तं रामम् that Rama, अनुजग्मुः followed him.

When the highsouled Rama whose strength was his sense of truth set out for the forest, the faithful people followed him. Rama reaches the banks of Tamasa river.
