महायशाः illustrious, गुणसम्पन्नः endowed with virtue of every kind, अयोध्यानिलयानाम् dwelling in Ayodhya, पुरुषाणाम् for men, पूर्णचन्द्र इव like the full Moon, प्रियः बभूव हि became dear.
