अथ thereafter, अमरसङ्काशः one who resembles the gods, गिरिवनप्रियः one fond of mountains and forests, तस्मिन् in that, गिरौ on the mountain, दीर्घकालोषितः who had been living for a long time, दाशरथिः Rama, वैदेह्याः Sita's, प्रियम् pleasure, आकाङ्क्षन् desiring, स्वम् own, चित्तम् mind, विलोभयन् to please, चित्रम् wonderful, चित्रकूटम् Chitrakuta mountain, भार्याम् to his consort, पुरन्दरः Indra (breaker of fortresses), शचीमिव like Sachi, अदर्शयत् showed.
Rama, resembling the gods, who had been living there for long developed a liking for the mountains and forests. With a desire to please Sita and his own mind, he showed her the wonderful Chitrakuta mountain as Indra did to his wife Sachi. Rama shares with Sita his delight of the beautiful nature around Chitrakuta mountain.
