तथा that way, जगत्याम् on the earth, निपतितम् fallen, जगतीपतिम् lord of the world, कूलघातपरिश्रान्तम् exhausted from striking a river bank, प्रसुप्तम् asleep, कुञ्जरम् इव like an elephant, महेष्वासम् a great archer, शोककर्शितम् afflicted with grief, रामम् Rama, सर्वतः on all sides, वैदेह्या सह along with Sita, ते those, भ्रातरः brothers, रुदन्तः lamenting, सलिलेन with waters, सिषिचुः वै sprinkled.

English Commentary

Those brothers on all sides, with Sita lamenting, sprinkled water on Rama, the great archer and lord of the earth who, afflicted with grief, had fallen down on the ground, and was lying like an elephant exhausted from repeatedly striking a river bank.
