अथ and then, रघुनन्दनः delight of the Raghus, रामः Rama, दुःखार्दितम् afflicted, आश्रमात् from the hermitage, उपावृत्तम् returned, सौमित्रिम् Lakshmana, अन्तरा in the midst, पुनः again, परिपप्रच्छ questioned.

Rama, the delight of the Raghus, once again questioned Lakshmana who had come out of the hermitage, deeply hurt: Rama enquires Lakshmana the reason for leaving Sita alone-- Lakshmana tells him about Sita goading him to leave immediately.
