वियोगजम् born of separation, दुःखम् sorrow, स्मृत्वा by remembering, प्रिये in your loved one, जने people, स्नेहम् love, त्यज give up, अतिस्नेहपरिष्वङ्गात् saturated by oil, आर्द्रा wet, वर्तिरपि cotton wick, दह्यते will burns.

'Remembrance of loved ones causes sorrow. Even a wet cotton wick gets burnt by embracing excessive oil. Hence abandon grief.
