English Commentary

Rama and Lakshmana were equally sad. Rama, scion of the Kakutstha race, consoled Sugriva, Tara as well as Angada in the following words: Rama exhorts Tara on fate and time -- preparation for the funeral -- grief of monkeys and Angada -- performance of funeral rites.
