मन्दमारुतनिश्वासम् sighing with gentle winds, सन्ध्याचन्दनरञ्जितम् reddened with sandalpaste of evening twilight, आपाण्डुजलदम् with ashcoloured clouds, अम्बरम् sky, भाति appears, कामातुरं passionate lover.

'The sky with its gentle winds as its sighs, its ash coloured clouds (suggestive of a pale face) painted with red sandalpaste in the form of glow of twilight appears like a passionate lover.
