Original Shlokaतव हि मुखमिदं निरीक्ष्य कोपात् क्षतजनिभे नयने निरीक्षमाणाः। हरिवरवनिता न यान्ति शान्तिं प्रथमभयस्य हि शङ्कितास्तु सर्वाः।।4.35.23।।

हरिवरवनिताः wives of foremost of monkeys, तव your, इदम् this, मुखम् face, निरीक्ष्य on seeing, कोपात् from anger, क्षतजनिभे resembling blood, नयने eyes, निरीक्षमाणाः looking at the eyes, शान्तिम् peace, न यान्ति not able to, सर्वाः all, प्रथमभयस्य of the earlier fear, शङ्कितास्तु suspecting.
'Looking at your angry countenance with bloodred eyes, the wives of the foremost of monkeys are frightened by the possibility of similar danger of the past (of Vali's death) and do not find peace of mind.' इत्यार्षे श्रीमद्रामायणे वाल्मीकीय आदिकाव्ये किष्किन्धाकाण्डे पञ्चत्रिंशस्सर्गः।। Thus ends the thirtyfifth sarga in Kishkindakanda of the first epic, the Holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.
