दिव्यै: lovely, चन्दनवनैः with sandalwood forests, प्रच्छन्ना covered, द्वीपशालिनी with wonderful islands, सा that, युवति: young lady, कान्तां beloved, इव like, समुद्रम् ocean, अवगाहते reaches.

'With its wonderful islands covered with lovely sandalwood forests, the river mingles with the ocean just as a young beloved meets her lover.
