English Translation
गिरिश्रेष्ठ O foremost mountain, त्वम् you, इह here, पातालतलवासिनाम् for those residing in the nether world, असुरसङ्घानाम् of hordes of demons, परिघः beam used as a barrier against the gateway, देवराज्ञा by the lord of the gods, सन्निवेशितः arranged.
English Commentary
'O foremost mountain you are kept here by Indra, lord of the gods as a barrier against the intrusion of demons residing in the netherworld.
