सः he, तस्मिन् in his, गृहे in the house, रक्तान् red, श्वेतान् white, सितांश्चैव pure white coloured, महाजवान् of good speed, हरींश्चापि horses also, कुलीनान् wellbred ones, रूपसम्पन्नान् goodlooking, परगजारुजान् those whch were not inferior to enemy's elephants, गजान् elephants, गजशिक्षयाम् in training elephants, निष्ठितान् exceedingly welltrained, ऐरावतसमान् equal to Airavata, युधि in battle, परसैन्यानाम् of enemy forces, निहन्त्रून् destroyers, क्षरतः shedding, मेघान् यथा clouds like, स्रवतः pouring forth rut, गिरीन् यथा like mountains, मेघस्न्तिन्तिर्घोषान् trumpeting like a group of clouds, समरे in war, परैः by enemies, दुर्धर्षान् unassailable, गजान् elephants, ददर्श saw

He saw horses of high speed in red, white and cream colours. He saw beautiful, wellbred elephants, which were not inferior to the enemy's. They were welltrained and had proved equal to Airavata (Indra's elephant) in battles. Resembling the thundering clouds, they were unassailable to the enemy in war and were trumpeting like a cluster of clouds.
