English Translation
इति thus, शोकसमाविष्टः overtaken by sorrow, अहम् I, चिन्ताम् worry, उपागतः became, अथ and then, अहम् I, जानकी Janaki, न च दग्धा not been burn, इति this, विस्मयोदन्तभाषिणाम् wonderful utterances, चारणानाम् from charanas, शुभाक्षराम् propitious, वाचम् words, अश्रौषम् heard.
English Commentary
"Thus I was overtaken by sorrow and worry. Just then I heard the wonderful propitious utterances of charanas announcing that Sita was not burnt.
