तत then, राक्षसा Rakshasas, स्तत्र there, रावणमन्दिरम् Ravana's abode, गत्वा proceeding to, रामेण Rama's, वानरैः Vanaras, सह along with, रुद्धां occupied, न्यवेदय informed, न्पुरीं total city.

Then the Rakshasas proceeding to Ravana's abode informed that Rama along with the vanaras have occupied the whole of Lanka. Lanka is laid siege by the Vanara army. Ravana beholds the army of vanaras from the top of his palace. Rama and Lakshman take position of the Northern gate of Lanka. Ravana mobilizes his army and severe conflict takes place between Rakshasas and Vanara army.
