English Translation
मुख्यतमाः of the chief, येराक्षसाः the Rakshasas, ते to you, युधि in war, वानरैः Vanara, हताः killed, युद्धे in combat, वानराणाम् Vanaras, क्षयम् killed, कदाचन but even, न पश्यामि did not see, वानराः Vanaras, युद्धे in war, कदाचन even, जितपूर्वाः not failed to succeed, न चापि not seen.
English Commentary
"Of the Rakshasas, the chiefs have been killed in war by Vanaras. But I did not see even one Vanara to have been killed in war. Vanaras have not failed to succeed in war."
