English Translation
समरे in battle, शरपीडिताः pierced by arrows, तेवानराः those Vanaras, भिन्नगात्राः necks broken, सुरैः by asuras, महासुराःइव like great suras, मथितसङ्कल्पाः frustrated in mind, पेतुः fallen.
English Commentary
Pierced by arrows in the battle, those Vanaras with their necks broken, giving up hopes of winning, frustrated, fell like the demons oppressed by great gods.
