English Translation
रणे in war, ते they, वानरवाहिनीषु only Vanara troops, केवलम् alone, सिताग्रान् sharp pointed, बाणान् arrows, सन्ददृशुः saw, आवृतम् covering them, मायाविगूढम् magical power, सुरेन्द्रशत्रुम् enemy of Indra, तंराक्षसम् अपि those Rakshasas also, न अपश्यन् not seen.
English Commentary
The Vanara troops saw only the sharp pointed arrows covering them. They could not see the enemy of Indra being concealed by magical power.
