Ravana's brother seeing Lakshmana spoke these words of advice to accomplish the task and which is not good for the enemies. Hanuman and the monkey army attack the Rakshasas. Hanuman challenges Indrajith for a duel and Lakshman catches the sight of Indrajith who gets up from the fire sacrifice to retaliate.
