दुर्धर्षः one who is difficult to overpower, सः he, शत्रुभिः enemies, अर्धितम् crying in vain, स्वम् own, अनीकम् army, विषण्णम् agony, श्रुत्वा hearing, कर्मणि action, अननुष्ठिते not completed, उदतिष्ठत got up

Indrajith, who is difficult to overpower, on hearing the cries of his own army in agony got up without completing the task (of ritual).
