महात्मना great self, विसृष्टेन stream of, शरौघेण covered by discharged shafts, कीर्यमाणः to shake his hand, विमुखीकृतविक्रमः not inclined to strike, प्रहर्तुम्, मनः in his mind, न चक्रे not strike

Covered by the stream of shafts discharged by the great self, Lakshmana, Ravana could not shake his hand and was not inclined in his mind to strike (Vibheeshana).
