राघव O son of the Raghus (Dasaratha), तव your, दिष्ट्या fortunately असौ this Rama, श्रेयसि for your welfare , ते to you, वत्स: as son , जात: was born,मारीच: son of Maricha ,काश्यप:इव like Kasyapa ,दिष्ट्या fortunately, पुत्रगुणै: by the virtues a son should possess, युक्त: is endowed with.
English Commentary
O son of the Raghus (Dasaratha), because of your good fortune that Rama, endowed with the qualities of an ideal son like Kasyapa to Maricha was born to you for the welfare of this world.
