English Translation
कैकेयी Kaikeyi, मन्मथशरैः with the darts of Kamadeva, विद्धम् struck, कामवेगवशानुगम् overtaken by passion, तं पृथिवीपालम् to the ruler of earth (Dasaratha), दारुणम् dreadful, वचः words, उवाच said.
English Commentary
To the ruler of the earth (the king), struck by the darts of Kamadeva and overtaken by passion Kaikeyi spoke (these) dreadful words. Kaikeyi reminds king Dasaratha about the boons--seeks consecration of Bharata as princeregent and exile of Rama to the forest.
