English Translation
महातेजा: briliant, रामः Rama, विरथम्: deprived of chariot, गदापाणिम् wielding a mace, अवस्थितम् stood, खरम् Khara, मृदुपूर्वम् gentle first, परुषम् harsh वाक्यम् words, अब्रवीत् said.
English Commentary
Effulgent Rama looked at Khara who stood with a mace in hand minus his chariot and said to him first in a gentle voice and then harshly : Encounter between Rama and Khara.
