अहो Alas, महत् great, कर्म action, निरर्थकम् wasted, कृतम् done, राक्षसैः by the ogres, मन्त्रगतिः impact of mantra, न विमृष्टाः is not considered, मन्त्रे when mantra, विहते is ineffective, अन्यत् other, अस्त्रम् astra, न प्रवर्तते works, सर्वे all, संशयिताः our lives will be at risk, स्म us

'Alas! my achievement has been wasted. The ogres had not considered the impact of the mantra of astra . Once the Brahmastra is ineffective another astra cannot be operative again. We are all running a risk.'
