ततः then, सर्वाः all, ताः those, सहिताः together, निहताशाः given up hope, निरुद्यमाः given up their efforts, ताम् they, समन्तात् all over, परिक्षिप्य scattered around, निद्रावशम् to sleep, उपागताः succumbed.
