English Translation
बहूनि several, वर्षसहस्राणि thousands of years, आयूंषि lifespan, प्राप्य having reached, जीवत: while living, जीर्णस्य of the decayed, अस्य शरीरस्य for this body, विश्रान्तिम् rest, अभिरोचये I desired.
English Commentary
Having lived for thousands of years this body is now worn out due to old age and therefore I want rest.
