English Translation
यत: जाता from the time of her birth, कैकेय्या सह along with Kaikeyi, ऊषिता living, ज्ञातिदासी family servant, यदृच्छया casually, चन्द्रसङ्काशम् resembling the Moon, प्रासादम् palace, आरुरोह ascended.
English Commentary
The family maid (Manthara) of Kaikeyi who had been living with her since her (Kaikeyi's) birth casually ascended the palace gleaming white like the Moon. Manthara informs Kaikeyi about the installation of Rama--happy over the news Kaikeyi gifts away her ornaments.
